New Meeting for The School Site

A meeting should be done shortly to discuss the new departmental site, and to assign tasks to people involved in the development of the site. So far, the following are crucial for the smooth running of the site, and to follow the present design and vision for the site:

  • The title page of the site;
  • The new contact details for the staff members, administrative staff, and students. Model contact details books are done, it remains to discuss the entries, and to assign the job to a staff member to finish the details.
  • Undergraduate and Graduate Study at UKZN: model Syllabus books are done for the courses offered in the school, also Syllabus books for major and Honours. This is in a preliminary stage, and one should decide shortly, so that the information to become available in a good time. The job must be assigned to a staff member, maybe a small group, who to be trained, and to finish the job.
  • A bibliography folder is done for the entire site, it remains to collected the publications for the school (in BibTeX format), and convert on the server, the rest will be done automatically. Maybe a small reformatting to be necessary. The task must be assigned to a particular person interested to be responsible for this.
  • Once these tasked will be finalized, it will become clear how to compose the staff members' homepages from the available information.
  • Various related things for the future development of the site.
Meeting postponed for another date in February.
