To exhaustively cover linear differential equations, eigenvalue theory, & prepare students for more advanced methods. |

Laplace transforms. Inversion by partial fractions and basic manipulations. Linear ODE's with constant coefficients, use of Laplace transforms in solving equations & systems. Vector spaces, dimension, basis, linear transformations. Eigenvalues & eigenvectors. Diagonalization. Inner product, projections, orthogonal transformations. Applications. Functions of a complex variable, analytic functions, Cauchy-Riemann equations. Integration. Path independence of integrals, Cauchy-Goursat theorem. Cauchy integral formula; simple applications. |
